Red Hood

Jason Todd is an important character in DC Comics, known as the second Robin and later as the Red Hood. He first showed up in Batman #357, in March 1983, created by writer Gerry Conway and artist Don Newton. He was a street kid who got noticed by Batman when he tried to steal the Batmobile. Red Hood’s Origin Story

Jason Todd’s origin story begins in Gotham City, where he grew up as an orphan surviving on the streets. After Batman caught him trying to steal the Batmobile’s tires, he saw potential in Jason and decided to take him under his wing. Bruce Wayne, aka Batman, trained Jason extensively, molding him into the second Robin, Batman’s trusted crime-fighting partner.

However, Jason’s approach to crime-fighting differed from his predecessor, Dick Grayson. He was more impulsive and aggressive, often challenging Batman’s methods. This strained their relationship, leading to conflicts between mentor and protege.

After becoming the Red Hood, Jason Todd diverged from Batman’s no-killing rule and embraced lethal force in his crime-fighting approach. Driven by his anger and a sense of betrayal, he believed that eliminating dangerous criminals was necessary for Gotham’s safety. This decision put him at odds with Batman and the rest of the Bat-Family, creating tension within the superhero community.
